I recently took a 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, and overall it was a memorable experience with both highlights and areas that could be improved. First of all, I would like to sincerely praise our driver - Zohair. He was professional, friendly, and made us feel safe throughout the entire journey. His positive attitude and helpfulness really enhanced the trip 😊 One of the biggest highlights was the desert camp in Merzouga. The food served there and during a day trip was delicious and clearly prepared with care. However, there are some aspects that could be improved. The hotel provided during the journey was of rather average standard and did not fully meet expectations. In addition, the food offered during the road trip (outside of the desert camp) was unfortunately not very tasty and could benefit from better quality and variety. Another issue I encountered was before the trip even started. Communication was quite difficult — I had trouble receiving responses to my emails and WhatsApp messages, which made the planning process more stressful than it should have been. In summary, the trip itself was enjoyable, especially thanks to the excellent driver and the amazing day spent in a dessert. However, improvements in accommodation, food during the journey, and customer communication would make this tour much better overall.

Organisation pas top. Manque d’information sur les horaires de départ pour la journée 4x4 dans le désert. Nourriture pendant les 4 jours très basique et sans saveur. Malheureusement pour nous il a fait très froid, ce qui n’a pas aidé à nous sentir bien pendant ces 4 jours. Beaucoup de route pour 1 journée dans le désert. Nous le savions avant de partir mais nous pensions que les visites qui jalonnent le trajet allaient être sympa, nous avons été déçus.

Price/quality of the tour not in line with expectations and felt like the southern part of the itinerary (Marrakesh - Zagora - erg chigaga - and all the way to Merzouga) were a bit of a waste of time. The "luxury" camp for the night in erg chigaga was 50km away from the road and reachable only via 4x4. We got there just before the sunset and left just before sunrise - very high waste of time and money, since you do not really enjoy the time there and you'll be sitting in a casa for the first three days. Big shout out to the driver, which professionaly drove us during the itinerary and represented the company (which disappear during the itinerary and didn't even jump on a call with me when on day 1 our accommodation was of very poor quality and not in line with the Royal package I had paid for), saving their asses. The most interesting part of the tour started in Merzouga desert (erg chebbi - amazing dunes, packed with activities, and great sunset/sunrise). The way back to Marrakesh through the gourges was also nice. If I had known in advance I'd have picked a tour of the northern part of the loop of the itinerary, skipping the itinerary that went through Zagora. @fd.rc

We had the most amazing time with Houssine on the trip. He looked after us and our needs extremely well. As vegetarians we weren't sure how reliable and good the food would be but excellent restaurants which cater well for dietary needs has been sourced. I had the best vegetarian tagine I'd ever had in the Sahara dessert at Nomad restaurant. If resources allow, please do not hesitate to book the 4 night tour. You get so much more out of it, riding the sand dunes in 4x4, meeting nomadic tribes and just getting to chill in the Sahara, walking the dunes. If you do 3 nights you arrive in the evening then get up to head home for sunrise so you don't get quite the same experience. We had some customers on our tour who were quite demanding but discover Sahara tours did everything they could to try and help them. One of the best tours of my life. My 8 year old got so much out of it too.
